Last weekend was indeed youth weekend and i do believe a lot of fun was had despite the weather...
I managed to end up with two small cuts on my neck either due to brambles in the wood on the night hike (no torches allowed!) or the fact that i shared a room with a vampire...I'm hoping for the first as i don't think i actually got more than 2hours sleep that night due to year 9 girls/snoring in my room =[ Saturday was good despite the rainfall which had started before 6.50am and i am very proud to say that both Charlotte and I made it to the prayer meeting at 7.30am awake even if we were still in sleeping bags.
The normal Saturday afternoon activities were on a lake this year which was surrounded by forest which meant that there was no escape from the rain for leaders. Consequently we amused ourselves with cameras and singing until the need to help people out of life jacket things before hypothermia set in became all too important, need i say more...
The rest of the weekend comprised of groups sessions, a few talks, Evan all Mighty, the satsuma game and mixture of live and DVD worship (some cringey, some surprisingly good sessions) along with times of general banter, good food and mellowness.
Good times indeed =]
